International Education Week, November 13 -17, 2006

Please join University Library, International Admissions and Advising (IAA), PLUS, Office of Student Affairs, Student Government (SGA) and student clubs/ organizations as we celebrate International Education Week, November 13 -17, 2006.

International Education Week is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide.

Golden Gate University joins in the "joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences in the United States." Throughout the week we are hosting a variety of events. A few highlights to check out:

  • Come taste a variety of teas from around the world while listening to one of GGU's alums talk about his business experience in the international world.
  • Stephen Thewlis will lead a discussion on the impact of language and diversity in and outside of the classroom. Stephen has over twenty years in international education.
  • Stop by during a class break to view one of the many movies being hosted by SGA.
  • Enter the IEW raffle for a chance to win free lunches or a free IPOD.
  • Last but not least, the highlight of the week, the Cultural & Club Fair hosted by the SGA and Student Clubs. Come and taste foods from around the world and listen to live music.
