Financial Planning Associate Position
Financial Planning Associate
Ballou Plum Financial Advisors is a unique team of financial professionals offering

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Organize and oversee the work flow within the office as it relates to the Financial Planning process for clients
Organize the preparation of financial planning meetings
Record, monitor and follow through with all meeting result tasks
Address client requests/needs regarding planning related items and perform and report on research for items related to ongoing client needs
Evaluate and advocate resources and improvements to the systems, processes, procedures and software used to deliver services to clients. Assist in the implementation of changes and improvements as agreed to by the planning team
Stay abreast of developments, trends, practices and legalities in the financial planning industry
Attend and conduct financial planning client meetings with Principals (and sometimes without) as appropriate
The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:
Bachelor’s degree
CFP or enrollment in CFP program required
Insurance and Securities licenses preferred, or within six (6) months of hire date
Minimum 2 years of financial planning experience required
Comfortable working with financial planning and investment management software
Expert computer skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint
Strong math and analytical skills
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
Motivated to both participate in as well as lead when appropriate in a team planning approach.
